Llandegla 2018 took place 19th & 20th May and was the second event in the 2018 Up Hill Down Dale calendar. There were 4 events across the 2 days. On Saturday the 19th was the 10km Challenge event. The first of its kind run at Up Hill Down Dale. On Sunday the 20th was the 10k, Half Marathon and Canicross races.
Over 200 runners took to the forest on a very hot weekend. The challenge event was well received and many first time trail runners joined it to see what its all about. On the 10km & Half Marathon races the heat really kicked in just as many were finishing but it was still an enjoyable event around the tough courses.
The Half Marathon race started at 2:00pm and was won by Callum Welman in a course record time of 1:35:06 and by Rachael Handley in a time of 2:02:12.
The 10km race started at 2:30pm and was won by Gareth Allman in a time of 00:46:53 and by Liz Mahon in a time of 00:53:52.
The Canicross race started from 2:45pm was won by Neil Smith in a time of 00:51:01
