Penbedw Trail Run Report
The fifth and penultimate race in in the 2016 series was held at Penbedw Estate near Mold on 3rd July 2016.
The weather on the day was great, as we've become accustom to on race day at Up Hill Down Dale. Although it seemed more like winter in the days leading up to the race with gale force winds and cold temperatures, mainly due to wind chill. Close to 150 runners took part in the two races on the day, a 10km & a 20km race.
The runners found both routes challenging and rewarding. Penbedw Estate is a beautiful location.
Some comments from the runners and spectators where - "Great route, one of the best!", "A lovely atmosphere" and "defiantly in my top 5 races of all time!"
The 20km Race started at 10:30am and was won by Michael Corrales in a time of 01:37:36 and by Lisa Grantham in a time of 01:51:10.
The 10km Race started at 11am and was won by Zak Gittins in a time of 00:48:16 and by Claire Thompson in a time of 00:54:28.
