The event consists of 2 races. There will be a 10km* route and a Half Marathon* route race. The route for both races follows the same route at the start and the end but the Half Marathon* route extends over moorland and more hills. There is plenty of variety in terrain over the route with forest tracks, footpaths, fields and moorland. It has a fantastic elevation (as you can see from the elevation graph).
There is an entry limit of 500 (across both events) and we expect it to fill quickly, so get it now! There will also be a children's race on the day for the budding trail runners.
Our event centre provides a great family day out for both competitors and also spectators, with food and drinks available, children's activities, race commentary all at the start / finish line located in the grounds. Spectators will have a great view of the starters and finishers. There will be toilets provided and some shelter in the registration marquee, which hopefully we won't need. The weather will hopefully be kind in July but as it is Wales you can't be sure what the weather will do so make sure you dress for the conditions and maybe bring some sun cream just in case!
Due to the fact that all our events are held on private land, we are not able to provide you with course maps. As it is private land the route cannot be run before or after the race, so please don't try. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the day.
There is ample parking at the event and we charge £3 for each car. We encourage car sharing.
Have a look at the ‘The Day’ page for a full schedule of events on the day and have a look at our FAQs page for answers to more questions. If you have anything else you’d like to ask us then go to the contact us page and fill in the form or use the live chat at the bottom right of your screen. You can ask us anything you like but we’re better at answering questions about the events, we reserve the right to post silly questions to our facebook page :)
